Fans of Emmerdale think they know what’s going on with Laurel Thomas, after her guilty behaviour this week.
Following her love interest Ray Walters’ m.u.r.d.e.r, Laurel has been named a suspect in spoilers. It’s clear she’s hiding something, after dumping something in a bin, a weird chat with her son Arthur Thomas and she’s been seen crying.
She appeared to be seeking forgiveness this week, with it heavily teased she could be the k.i.l.l.e.r. But fans are sure she is a red herring, and that Laurel’s secret isn’t that she m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d Ray.
Instead, some fans are sure she’s hiding something else that is yet to be revealed. Others believe her guilt proves that Arthur is the real k.i.i.l.l.e.r, and Laurel is covering for him.

Taking to social media after the latest bizarre behaviour from Laurel, fans shared their theories. One fan said: “I reckon Laurel didn’t k.i.l.l Ray, but she’s covering up for Arthur.”
Another fan agreed: “Why does Laurel need forgiveness? Did she k.i.l.l Ray or is she covering for Arthur?” A third fan added: “I’m calling it that Arthur did it, Laurel covering for him,” while a fourth fan said: “Laurel looks very shifty but maybe too obvious. Maybe she could be covering for Arthur too?”
Other fans thought there might be more to it. A fan claimed: “It’s NOT Laurel – they pedalling that one way too hard.” Another posted: “I feel like there’s been so much focus on Laurel like her guilt and her seemingly hiding something and we know she could be a suspect but I don’t think she k.i.l.l.e.d Ray.

“I wonder if Arthur is to blame or Laurel is hiding something completely separate to Ray and she’s done something she shouldn’t have.” A further post said: “Definitely seem to be pushing way too hard on Laurel and she definitely looks like a red herring, although what Arthur said to Laurel doesn’t make sense if Arthur is the one that k.i.l.l.e.d Ray either.”
A final comment read: “I said this somewhere else but they are pushing Laurel as a suspect way too hard in my opinion to the point I’m not even thinking she’s covering for someone. Maybe she is hiding something about that week but it’s not actually linked to Ray? I dunno who else it would be tied to or what she could have done but I think it’s a red herring.”
