Emmerdale reveals how Victoria k.i.l.l.e.d John Sugden as two more exits sealed
Emmerdale's latest episode confirmed who k.i.l.l.e.d John Sugden and how he d.i.e.d, as his sister Victoria Sugden dropped a bombshell confession, teasing two more exits
The truth about John Sugden’s d.e.a.t.h on Emmerdale was revealed on Tuesday, as well as who k.i.l.l.e.d him. John was shown d.e.a.d. at the end of the ITV soap’s crossover with Coronation Street, Corriedale. His sister Victoria Sugden was seen standing over his body with it teased she’d k.i.l.l.e.d him, but there were no clues as to how.
On Tuesday it was fully explained with flashbacks. Victoria had somehow made it to the crash site and found John and co in the woods. When she feared her brother Robert Sugden had been shot by John, she was about to leave the woods when John found her. He attempted to escape but Victoria was insistent he needed to face justice. John turned on her and grabbed her, leaving her screaming for help and scrambling for something to get him off her.
She found a filled syringe in his pocket and stabbed him with it, not aware of its contents. It k.i.l.l.e.d John, leaving Victoria startled and fleeing, after placing the cleaned needle in his hand.
She explained all this to Robert and Aaron Dingle at the hospital, and they agreed to help cover it up. What they had no idea about was that someone was in the woods and saw Victoria k.i.l.l John.
What’s concerning though is that this person, Joe Tate, didn’t rush to help her when she was screaming. Maybe he got there too late, but despite having a bang to the head, he managed to stand there and record Victoria covering her tracks, with John d.e.a.d. on the floor.
A cruel move given John’s m.u.r.d.e.r.o.u.s. crimes, and it will no doubt be used to taunt her or even Robert, after Joe’s earlier claim that he owed him. Now, this big twist and the k.i.l.l.e.r secret could be what leads to one or two more exits from the show very soon.
Victoria actress Isabel Hodgins is expecting her first child, and the pregnant actress will soon go on maternity leave. While it’s not known how long she will take off from the soap, it seems this could be her departure plot.
With her going, an exit for Victoria’s onscreen son Harry could also be likely depending on the exit. If Victoria was to flee, caught out or not, Harry would surely go with her. If she was found out and went to prison or went on the run, then perhaps Harry would stay with his uncles Robert and Aaron in the village.
