Emmerdale double exit ‘sealed’ as fears grow for fan favourite amid evil twist
Emmerdale fans are worried that a brutal double exit could be about to air and two key characters could be heading off to prison in a huge twist for the ITV soap
Emmerdale fans are worried that a brutal double exit could be about to air. Fans of the Yorkshire-based soap will have been caught up the evil ways of Celia Daniels, who has been spent the last few months heading up a drugs squad and slavery ring, all the while posing as a farmer and pretending to help out Moira Dingle.
However, Moira is yet to realise that Celia has been conning her, and believed that they had joined forces to save their struggling farms. Things took a particularly nasty twist when it was revealed that Bear Wolf, the father of Paddy Dingle, had been taken into her slavery operation amongst a slew of others. One of the others enslaved by Celia and her foster son Ray was Anya, a single mother who wanted nothing but to make it back to her little girl.
Tragically, Anya died after contracting an infection in the squalid conditions and Bear, whom she had struck up a close friendship with, was forced to dig her grave, which Celia decided should be on Moira’s farm. Showing no end to her twisted ways, Celia even went as far to make sure Anya had been buried in a blanket that belonged to Moira, thereby framing her for murder.
In Tuesday’s episode of Emmerdale, Celia was seen trying to pull Moira round to the idea that they have done well with their farms. She said: “So, should we start talking about next year’s turkeys? I was thinking about doubling the order in July. We have more than enough room, and…” but she was left unimpressed when Moira pulled out of the whole deal, opting to go back to cattle farming.
Immediately after seeing the episode, viewers started to theorise that this could all land fan-favourite Moira, who has been played by Natalie J. Robb since 2009, could end up in prison.
One fan wrote on Reddit: “So not only has she been farming poultry without the correct licenses, she now has a dead body on her land wrapped in a blanket covered in her DNA, and trafficked slaves working on her (?) land.
“As much as I like Moira, I’m surprised somebody so ballsy and switched on would be so naive. I know she has money troubles and probably became a bit desperate, but the implications for her are really serious. I hope I’m wrong, but I can actually see her losing the farm and even potentially going to prison after all this comes out.”
Another wrote on X: “Celia framing Moira for Anya’s body if it’s found with that damn blanket…she’s pure evil!” and a third fan said: “OMG Celia has linked Moira’s DNA to the body? That is INSANE!”
Following dramatic events in the Dales that led to a bombshell reveal, fans are also convinced that Kev’s days are numbered after his massive lies were exposed. Kev married Robert Sugden whilst they were both in prison and whilst it is clear that he is ready to be back with Aaron Dingle, he has been persuaded to stay with him following the news that Kev had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
But this was all a fabrication, and Dr. Liam Cavanagh, who had previously been forced to act as a getaway driver for Kev, had bee threatened into playing along.
After being interrogated by Robert, Aaron and Chas in an intense scene, he let out the truth. He confirmed: “Kev’s condition isn’t terminal. It never was.” When asked why he had kept things quiet, he said: “Personally, I find an unpredictable, violent criminal threatening my life rather silencing. Added to which, I am now an accomplice!”
Earlier in the day, Robert and Aaron had found out that Kev had robbed the pawn shop and were prepared to alert the authorities, but Dr Liam overheard the conversation and was forced to reveal all.
One said: “THE TRUTH IS OUT! Robert finally knows the truth about Kev’s condition! Aaron & Robert scheming and being shifty is my FAVOURITE Aaron found the stolen gear!” and another predicted a whole ‘takedown’ for Kev, as they wrote: “Full steam ahead to take Kev down.”
A third added: “Hope Kev isn’t sticking around, just can’t take to his character!”
