Emmerdale’s harrowing Bear Wolf episode leaves ITV soap fans ‘in tears’
Emmerdale fans were left feeling emotional over Bear Wolf's latest storyline
Emmerdale’s harrowing Bear Wolf episode left ITV soap fans “in tears” on Monday (November 10).
Soap viewers will know that Bear (Joshua Richards) was last seen leaving the Dales in his hire car over three months ago.
In recent scenes, Bear’s son, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), discovered his father wasn’t safe in Ireland as he had believed, but was actually missing following a long summer absence.
Concerns grew for Bear’s mental health, and Paddy felt remorseful that they had parted on bad terms.
It was revealed at the end of last week that Bear was being held captive by villain Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and his mother Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths), reports the Daily Star.

The pair are known to be exploiting April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) as the teenagers struggle to pay off an endless debt, with April being pulled into the grim world of drugs.
Tonight’s episode, now available to stream on ITVX, delves into Bear’s whereabouts over the past 100 days.
More than three months ago, Bear was taken in by Ray and provided with accommodation in return for hard labour, but he soon found himself trapped in a distressing situation.
Bear was repeatedly deceived by his captors and suffered a serious injury while working, which left him vulnerable.
In devastating scenes, Bear attempted to persuade Ray to transport him to hospital, but the villain declined, stating: “It’s because you never gave me your paperwork when you started.”

The episode also centres on newcomer Anya (Alia Al-Shabibi), who was previously given shelter by Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly). The young woman developed an endearing bond with Bear, but a chain of events quickly signalled danger for both vulnerable individuals.
After watching the distressing episode, numerous Emmerdale viewers flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to express their emotional reactions.
“Today’s Bear special episode was so tough to watch. That poor man, he’s so vulnerable. Emmerdale are really doing a great job with these storylines,” one viewer commented.
Another remarked: “Bear’s special episode was harrowing and heartbreaking to watch. Paddy will be devastated when he realises how close he was,” whilst a third observed: “Wow Bear’s standalone episode. Joshua Richards take a bow. This storyline is gonna be heartbreaking to watch.”
A fourth spectator mirrored the response, commenting: “Tonight’s episode is something else. A spectacularly dark and painful watch,” with another likewise posting: “I was in tears the whole time. What a devastating and emotional episode.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
