Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise fans have shared their delight after Detective Jack Mooney (played by Ardal O’Hanlon) returned to the Australian spin-off, Return to Paradise.
Many are even calling for the detective to get his own spin-off following his epic comeback. While Jack doesn’t appear much in the series, he does pop up via video link from London as he chats with female detective Mackenzie Clarke.
Fans rushed to comment on the return after Return to Paradise shared a clip of the detective in action. They captioned the clip on Instagram, “Hmm, what could possibly have convinced Mack not to go back to London… The new episode of #ReturnToParadise is on BBC iPlayer now!”
One delighted fan wrote, “I love Jack and Mack’s relationship! They’re so father-daughter coded to me!!”
Another said, “Please use Jack more!! Love him to bits.”

The synopsis for Friday night’s episode teases more drama for Mack as it reads, “Mackenzie Clarke gets VIP access to the chart-topping band Point Ruin’s reunion concert, when one of their members is murdered in the green room.
“But with all the suspects on stage at the time, how could the killer have done it?
“Away from the murder, Glenn and Daisy send out invitations to their wedding, and Mackenzie has to deal with her feelings when she’s not invited.”
