ITV Emmerdale star hints at ‘hell being unleashed’ after shock Marlon Dingle twist
A huge twist for Marlon Dingle took place during Tuesday's heartbreaking episode of Emmerdale
Emmerdale star Mark Charnock has hinted at “hell being unleashed” after a shock Marlon Dingle twist on Tuesday (November 4).
ITV viewers are aware that Marlon’s daughter, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan), has been unwillingly selling drugs for Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) in a bid to clear her boyfriend Dylan Penders’ (Fred Kettle) outstanding debt.
It subsequently emerged that local farmer Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) was orchestrating the drugs operation, whilst also being Ray’s mother.
In recent scenes, April unintentionally caused the d.e.a.t.h of a man called Callum, who had paid Ray and Celia to spend the night with the teenager.
During Tuesday’s special instalment, now streaming on ITVX, a distressed April visited her father Marlon, with a startling twist awaiting them both, reports the Daily Star.

In the emotional sequences, April confided in her dad about her struggles, with Marlon maintaining they needed to inform the police about Ray and Celia.
Whilst the pair debated their next move, villain Ray suddenly forced his way inside, before fatally shooting Marlon.
Yet, things weren’t quite what they appeared. Through a flashback of April and Marlon’s day, it became clear the events had unfolded within April’s mind.
Marlon star Mark Charnock discussed the devastating episode on This Morning today, revealing: “It’s been a really dark year for Marlon and April. She was missing for so long, but she came back, he got her back.

“The hell that has been unleashed on her since, and what may or may not be unleashed on her parents, is nothing in comparison to what her absence was like.”
He continued: “Where we are right now, and with tonight’s episode, Marlon has no idea that she’s been through that.
“They’ve not been communicating. [Marlon’s] desperately overcompensating, like, ‘I want my girl back’. And because of everything she’s been going through, she’s protecting him by not telling him. She’s k.i.l.l.e.d a man and it’s self-defence.
“In tonight’s episode, she just comes to speak to him generally and he’s so overwhelmed… The first two-thirds of the episode is a coming back together, it’s his little girl that’s back.

“And for the audience, who know what’s happened, the whole thing is teetering on this knife edge of, ‘Will she tell him?’ And if she tells him, it could change everything.”
Discussing the episode’s dramatic turn of events, Mark revealed: “It’s a big twist, and something happens that will pull the rug from under everybody’s expectations… There’s an astonishing shock.
“The producers told me about the episode and what was going to happen, but reading it was more shocking. I cried when I read it.”
As the episode reached its climax, April chose to keep her troubles to herself, sharing a heartfelt embrace with her father before departing from Smithy Cottage. What will be April’s escape route from her grim predicament?
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
