In Emmerdale scenes yet to air, Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) stands up for his pal Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) after Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) issues a d.e.a.t.h threat against the latter. Will Mackenzie manage to persuade Kev to leave Aaron well alone – or is he at risk himself? When Aaron confides in Mack about how concerned he is about Kevin’s behaviour, the Scotsman decides to confront the former convict himself and risk it all. “Judging from these scenes, Kev’s a bloke who can turn on a sixpence,” a source told Digital Spy. “He’s a super dangerous man, and while there’s no way that he would hurt Robert, anyone else is fair game if they cross him.

“Considering Mack has only just got one unhinged fella off his case, it’s wild that he’s prepared to go up against Kev.”
Later on, tensions rise at the cafe between Aaron and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) as a police officer arrives looking for Kev to question him about an attack on an old friend.
At the Woolpack, Aaron’s apology to Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is accepted, but Robert and Kev’s arrival shatters the peace.
It soon becomes clear that Robert has told Kev about his past, and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) comforts her heartbroken son, Aaron, when they are alone.
Back at Mill Flat, Aaron’s confronted by Kev, who delivers a chilling d.e.a.t.h threat if he doesn’t leave him and Robert alone.
The following day, Robert runs into Aaron and is left horrified to learn about Kev’s threats.
A loyal but foolish Mackenzie tells Aaron he has his back, but has he put a target on his own back in doing so?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
