EastEnders fans ‘rumble sinister reason’ for Jasmine’s arrival – and it’s not for Zoe
EastEnders fans were introduced to new character Jasmine this week, but fans don't think her arrival is completely random, as they predict a connection to one resident
Jasmine arrived in Walford this week, taking a job at The Albert
It’s been a busy few weeks in EastEnders, and Albert Square has gotten a whole lot busier with the arrival of Jasmine.
Jasmine wasted no time in getting a job behind the bar in The Albert, with poor Freddie Slater losing his job in the process. Cindy seemed to take a shine to the straight forwardness of the new character – but manageress Elaine isn’t too keen.
As ever, theories have been flying around the internet, with many believing Jasmine is Zoe’s daughter. As we know, Zoe gave birth to twins in 2006. She later walked out of the hospital leaving her baby boy behind, with her daughter unfortunately believed to have d.i.e.d.

However, as fans didn’t see the doctors telling Zoe this information, many believe her daughter may still be alive as well as her son. Zoe has just dropped the bombshell that Dennis Rickman is the father, but again fans aren’t convinced.
Back to Jasmine, many believe she’s actually here for Cindy, not Zoe. When arriving, Jasmine said she had decided she wanted to work at The Albert.
During tonight’s episode, she began to ask Cindy questions about her life, including how many children she had.

“Why are you asking?” Cindy questioned, as Jasmine told her new boss she was just taking an interest.
Elaine then came over to spill Cindy’s eventful backstory – including “faking your own d.e.a.t.h and abandoning your kids, and sleeping with your daughters’ half brother, and then accusing all of them of trying to k.i.l.l her”.
“If all of that is true, you are iconic,” Jasmine said to Cindy, as she walked away. Jasmine’s eyes then followed her as her face dropped, and now, many believe she has a ‘secret link’ to Cindy.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer penned: “Mmmm I think Jasmine may be on the square for something related to Cindy rather than Zoe,” penned one, as another wrote: “So is new girl Jasmine part of Jackie Ford’s family out for revenge against Cindy? Jasmine Fisher/Jackie Ford, mysterious family…”
Jackie Ford was a character who Cindy shared a cell with almost 30 years ago, and she later turned informant on Jackie’s activities, which caused Cindy to fake her own d.e.a.t.h and live under a new identity.
Another fan wrote: “why is she interested in Cindy…fishing for information and desperate to get a job their…idk if maybe she’s part of something with that family that were after Cindy.. who knows.”
Elsewhere, Oscar has also taken a shine to Jasmine, but are the feelings mutual?
