Zatima Season 4 opens with a bang – but do the first two episodes deliver?

Tyler Perry’s Zatima Season 4 | Were the First Two Episodes Any Good?
Alright folks, let’s talk Zatima Season 4. I’ve been reading through the comments on my reviews, and honestly? If you loved these episodes, I’m genuinely happy for you. For many viewers, the best part was finally seeing Zach and Fatima back to being the couple we first fell for — no Karen drama, no messy distractions, just our Zatima again.
Episode 1 – A Slow “Epilogue”
-
I gave it a 6/10.
-
Honestly? It was boring. Most of it took place in the hospital, with everyone telling Zach the same thing: “Let it go.”
-
The problem? How many times can Fatima wind up in the hospital before someone says enough is enough with Jeremiah? This isn’t just reckless sibling drama — he’s endangering her and the baby.
Fatima reminded Zach of her stepdad’s temper, but that was over a parking lot insult. This? This is violence and direct danger. It left me asking: At what point do they stop making excuses for Jeremiah?
Episode 2 – The Real Season Starter
-
I bumped this one to a 7/10.
-
It felt like the true beginning of Season 4 with a time jump and characters re-established.
-
Nothing spectacular, but it set the stage for what’s coming.
I’m not handing out 10s just because Zach and Fatima were finally on the same page. Was it refreshing after Sistas? Absolutely. Was it perfect? Not at all.
Highlights & Side Stories
-
Some viewers are thrilled — rewatching multiple times. Me? I saw them once and moved on.
-
The Tony subplot stood out: his guilt over killing a man in self-defense added a strong emotional thread. Tyrone reassured him, but guilt doesn’t just vanish. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tony cracks later this season.
-
The Michael/DNA question seems headed toward closure. If he isn’t Zach’s son, that whole storyline is behind us. Honestly? Thank goodness.
The Bigger Picture
-
I think BET and Viacom are cracking down hard on leaks this season. If you’ve seen clips or episodes floating around — don’t repost. People are getting their accounts suspended.
-
As for the pregnancy, I wouldn’t be shocked if Fatima delivers before the finale. The writers seem to be speeding things along, maybe even with another time jump.
Final Verdict (Week One)
-
Episode 1: 6/10 – slow, repetitive.
-
Episode 2: 7/10 – decent reset, nothing mind-blowing.
-
Together: Not bad, not great. Think of them as cleanup episodes, clearing the board for what’s next.
I’m cautiously optimistic about Week 2. If Episodes 3 and 4 really get the ball rolling, we might have something special this season.
