Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Why Did Fatima Reveal Her Startling Confession To Danni Instead of Angela?

Fatima and Danny’s Bond
Let’s back up for a second. Remember when Fatima first appeared in Season 2? From the jump, she and Danny clicked. Even before Fatima was part of the sister circle, Danny vouched for her. She told Karen straight up, “If you weren’t so bitter about Zach and Fatima, she’d already be one of us. She’s cool.”
So yes, Danny is the “ride or die” of the group. She’s blunt, she’s real, and Fatima probably trusts her more than Andy or Sabrina.
But here’s the problem: Danny is still Karen’s friend.
Why This Feels Wrong
Think about the timing. Karen literally just lost one of her babies. Danny was right there in the hospital when Miss Lisa confirmed the heartbreaking news.
So for Fatima to call her — not Angela, not Andy — and say, “I feel relief that Zach’s baby didn’t make it”… man, that’s risky. That’s dangerous. That’s playing with fire.
And yes, Fatima prefaced it with compassion:
-
What happened to Karen was awful.
-
I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
-
I feel terrible even thinking this, let alone saying it.
But still… she said it. To Karen’s girl.
Why Not Angela?
This is the part I don’t get. Why not call Angela?
Angela’s been in Sistas multiple times — Season 5 for sure, when she was over at Zach and Fatima’s with Andy and Madam. She’s also met up with Fatima for drinks, stopped by her office, you name it.
Yeah, Angela can be a gossip. Sure, she might’ve told Belinda. But she still feels like the safer, more natural choice. Narratively, it makes way more sense for Fatima to confide in her instead of Danny.
Danny’s Role Here
I get it. Danny is the “real one.” She’ll give it to you straight, no sugarcoating.
But she also has loose lips when she’s emotional or high. One slip, and suddenly Karen finds out. That would be a nuclear bomb on the sister circle.
Honestly, it just feels like the writers forced this moment to drag out the storyline. Because if we’re being honest, Fatima calling Danny instead of Angela only sets up more unnecessary drama.
My Take
So yeah, I think this was a mistake.
If Danny had called Fatima, fine. But Fatima calling Danny to unload this? Not smart. Not believable. And definitely not the right move considering how close Danny still is to Karen.
What do you think?
-
Should Fatima have talked to Angela instead?
-
How do you think Danny’s going to react in Episode 9?
-
Do you think she’ll understand Fatima’s honesty… or will she see it as betrayal to Karen?
