In other news, a fresh villain steps onto the scene and gets tangled up in Lewis and Ross Barton’s drug scheme – but what’s he got up his sleeve?
Meanwhile, Vinny Dingle is all in a tizz when Gabby Thomas starts planning their engagement do, and Sarah Sugden lends a hand to Cain Dingle.
Here are the top 5 Emmerdale spoilers for next week, reports Leicestershire Live.
1. ) Paddy gets attacked.
Paddy spots a sheep trapped in a fence on Celia’s farm and dashes over to help. After freeing the sheep, Paddy is rooted to the spot in fear as an aggressive dog comes bounding over.
The dog goes for Paddy and Bear manages to pull him out of harm’s way, but it’s clear that Paddy’s been badly hurt.
Once at the hospital, Mandy tries to soothe a shaken-up Bear as they wait for news on Paddy post-surgery. Paddy can’t thank his dad enough for saving his life.
But Mandy’s gobsmacked and disgusted when Bear uses Paddy’s near-d.e.a.t.h experience as a chance to bad-mouth his son.
After Mandy ushers Bear out of the room, it’s clear that Bear’s words have hit home with Paddy. Mandy does her best to cheer Paddy up, but it’s obvious that a now quietly weeping Paddy has taken his dad’s cruel words to heart.
2. ) Marlon stages an intervention.
Paddy’s back at his pad, feeling even more down in the dumps about himself. Even a visit from Marlon can’t cheer him up on his gloomy birthday.
Once his mate has left, Paddy grimly grabs the vets’ bolt gun from the cupboard and heads out with a sense of resolve. Things don’t go to plan for Paddy when he takes Bear’s advice and goes to Celia’s farm to face her.
Paddy comes back and points the finger at Bear for his disastrous run-in with Celia. Paddy vents all his pent-up frustration about his dad’s treatment of him.
After Paddy tells Bear to pack his bags, it looks like the rift between the two blokes is now beyond repair….
Marlon’s organised a bit of an intervention in the form of a lads day playing ‘Oh God They’re Zombies’. But when Paddy doesn’t step up to help him save the world from a zombie apocalypse, Marlon gets serious with his pal.
3. ) Mack stabs Ross in the back.
Ross agrees to try and persuade Lewis to change his mind about flogging the weed to a dealer, after Mack reminds him that they’re doing this to help Moira hang onto the farm.
After opening up to his brother, Lewis is chuffed when Ross promises to stick to doing things Lewis’ way. However, what they don’t know is that Mack has already agreed to sell the weed to a dealer.
Lewis is gobsmacked by his brother’s betrayal when Mack’s buyer, shady newcomer Ray – who we know is going to use April Windsor as part of a drugs plot – drops by unexpectedly to check out the crop.
It’s been confirmed that April is set for further distress in the upcoming weeks. Soap newcomer Ray (Joe Absolom) ends up involving April in a drug plot.
4. ) Ray makes his entrance.
Ross, still reeling from Mack’s betrayal that shattered his relationship with Lewis, is not inclined to assist Mack in finalising the deal with Ray. This leaves Mack in a desperate situation.
The following day, Ross suspects he knows who’s responsible when he discovers all the cannabis has vanished from the grow barn.
However, it appears Mack is telling the truth and didn’t sell the cannabis to Ray; this leads Ross to worry that Lewis now possesses enough cannabis to land him in prison for a considerable period.
Upon Lewis’ return to Butlers, Ross’ relief that Lewis didn’t distribute the cannabis himself is short-lived as Lewis is furious to discover that someone has stolen their cannabis to sell on the streets.
5. ) Sarah and Cain devise a plan.
Sarah is delighted when she helps Cain realise that Tracy’s decision to exclude the family from Nate’s official funeral provides them an opportunity to give him a proper Dingle farewell instead.
Meanwhile, as Gabby finalises the guest list for their engagement party, Vinny becomes anxious when she insists on inviting Kammy.
